Complete Redesign of an Old Villa in Marbella – Transformed into a Modern and Elegant Home
Our client purchased this property as an old villa with a closed-off layout, dark interiors, and numerous arched and curved elements. Their main request was a complete redesign—using refined, elegant, and modern materials—to create a home tailored to their lifestyle, with special attention to detail and a timeless aesthetic.
One of the biggest challenges was the original orientation of the house: despite being located near the sea, the views were limited and the interior felt disconnected from the surroundings. By opening up the structure and introducing large-scale windows, we effectively redefined the home’s orientation—bringing in more natural light and capturing sea views that were previously hidden.
The entire interior was reimagined. A traditional kitchen was replaced with a sleek, handle-less design featuring natural stone countertops and backsplash in a seamless finish. Bathrooms were elevated with full-height marble slabs, black wall-mounted fixtures, and minimalist basins, creating dramatic yet sophisticated spaces with a gallery-like atmosphere.
In the living area, a custom-designed fireplace in richly veined stone became the warm and sculptural centerpiece of the room. Throughout the home, a careful balance of natural textures, clean lines, and open light-filled spaces creates a refined, livable environment designed with precision and purpose.
